During the warmer months, our attention to the environment becomes even more evident, but at our winery it is a constant guiding principle. In fact, we make dedicated investments to remove 750 tonnes of CO₂ from the atmosphere every year. After all, our deep connection with the land of Valdobbiadene has always been the cornerstone of our production philosophy: from vineyard to glass, every decision is driven by a clear commitment to quality and environmental responsibility.
In line with this approach, we made the decision some time ago to preserve 25 hectares of our estate as woodland. Since each hectare of forest can remove approximately 30 tonnes of CO₂ from the atmosphere every year, our woodlands help eliminate as much as 750 tonnes annually—equivalent to the average amount produced by around 125 Italian residents.
This figure becomes even more meaningful when viewed in relation to the size of our company. With a production team of 25 employees, the preservation of our woodland offsets a quantity of CO₂ that is five times greater than that generated by our workforce. These numbers clearly demonstrate how environmental stewardship and protection are at the heart of everything we do at Col Vetoraz—not as a symbolic gesture, but as a concrete and essential daily commitment.
