A dry winter, the high temperatures registered this summer but, in the meantime, an almost perfect climatic condition that allowed the buds to blossom in a regular manner: these factors are the perfect promise of future Valdobbiadene DOCG wines of excellence.
The summer of 2023 cannot be described as a dry season, as demonstrated by the perfect development in the vineyard, which saw a particularly dry winter, but from budding onwards a weather pattern characterised by just the right amount of rain and regular intervals of hot and cold weather. The excessive heat in August, which fortunately arrived when the grapes had not yet started to ripen, thus did not compromise the aromatic profile and acid balance.
Following this, the rain and the lowering of the temperature, which fortunately immediately rose again, nonetheless made it possible to maintain a day-night range of up to 15 degrees. Turning instead to the major hailstorm that hit our area, it occurred as usual in bands, and consequently did not compromise the entire production.
The harvest is now complete, the musts are slowly fermenting and diffuse delicate aromas of flowers and fruit into the air, a prelude to balance and elegance.
